Cabinet Holds Forum on Sudan's Membership in COMESA
Khartoum - Council of Ministers has organized a forum on maximizing the benefit of Sudan's membership in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa "COMESA" which will be held under the theme "Towards Strengthening the Regional Sudan in the presence of Ministers of Justice, Industry and Commerce and wide participation of researchers, academics and economis.
Minister of Industry Eng. Abdul Wahab Mohammed Osman, addressing the forum indicated to the huge natural resources in Sudan a matter that enabled it to take advantage.
He said Sudan has achieved many of the COMESA membership gains on the political, economic and commercial terms associated with a large market with a population of about 400 million people, which can represent great opportunities for Sudanese exports.
Minister of State at the Ministry of Commerce, Fadul Abdullah said regional blocs play a prominent role in the economic development and promotion of intra-regional trade as well as their contribution to support the mechanics of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
